THE CROSS BELL RANCH HISTORY

HISTORIC OKLAHOMA CATTLE RANCH
& PREMIER EVENT VENUE

Tucked into the rolling hills of Osage County, Oklahoma, The Cross Bell Ranch is more than a working cattle ranch—it’s a living chapter of Western history.
Once one of the most iconic ranches in the region, and now revitalized under the vision of the Teague family, The Cross Bell honors its past
while pioneering a new future for land stewardship, ranch hospitality, and conservation-minded experiences.

The origins of The Cross Bell Ranch trace back to the early 1900s, when it was established on the 640-acre Osage allotment of Kathleen Boren. Over time, the property grew into a sprawling 130,000-acre operation under the Mullendore family, one of Oklahoma’s most influential ranching dynasties. Known for their bold business ventures and deep ties to the land, the Mullendores helped define the cattle industry in this region, making The Cross Bell a landmark in Osage County and beyond.

Today, the legacy of The Cross Bell Ranch is carried forward under the stewardship of the Teague family. After relocating their family and operations to Copan, Oklahoma, the Teagues are breathing new life into this iconic property—while honoring the traditions that shaped it. You’ll still find native grasses waving in the wind, weathered barns standing proud, and stories etched into every fencepost. This land remembers—and welcomes you into its story.

Guided by the Cross, and Gathered by the Bell.
